Same-note transitions

These are transitions from one note to the same note on the staff. Same-note transitions separated by an embellishment still need to be separated some how to indicate that one note has ended and the next one has begun. Compound embellishments are therefore replaced (*) as follows:

(*) Only for the purpose of this layered approach to sight-reading, all embellishments are played in the full tune.

Examples:

E-to-E transition, separated by a strike.

High-A-to-High-A-to-High-A transition, separated by a strike, then by a grip (in Layer 1 this grip would be replaced by another strike).

Low-A-to-Low-A transition, separated by a taorluath (in Layer 1 this taorluath would be replaced by a strike).
